Mt. Sinai Research Laboratory
Central Moving provided corporate relocation, project management, warehousing and asset management, and laboratory moving services to Mt. Sinai Hospital for the relocation of its 4,500-square-foot Research Laboratory from the Atran Pavilion at 1184 Fifth Avenue to the Hess Center at 1470 Madison Avenue.
Challenge: To label, pack, transport, and unpack multiple labs; to dismantle bio-safety cabinets for transport and set them up in a new space; and to ready for transport temperature-sensitive items that were stored in freezers set to -20, -30, and -80-degrees Fahrenheit.
Central Moving: We packed and unpacked bench-top equipment and base labeled all items on the new laboratory layout to ensure proper placement. We carefully loaded temperature-sensitive items on the end of the truck and unloaded them first to minimize warming of the specimens. At the new location, we checked that all temperature-sensitive equipment was plugged into outlets that were powered and receiving the correct voltage/amps.
