Sotheby’s
For the renowned art dealer and auction house Sotheby’s, Central Moving handled the specialty move of fine arts, warehousing, asset management, and project management from the company’s world headquarters at 1334 York Avenue to its storage facility in Newark, NJ.
Challenge: To pack, wrap, and move more than 600 pieces of valuable, fragile, and in some cases, irreplaceable works of art. The project involved the packing and moving of more than 40 truckloads over a two-month period.
Central Moving: We assigned highly experienced packers, craters, and handlers to this project, which required utilizing special fine art packing material, including various foam boards, glassine paper, foam rolls, and custom crates specifically designed for particular pieces of art.
